WHAT'S NEW IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT:

The SANDIS Service Provider Portal is being piloted at SDRC and has been installed at two other Regional Centers. This portal provides vendors access to information and billing/accounting forms through a secure internet connection. Another portal is also being installed at Regional Centers that has the New Generation Software (NGS) application; this fiscal portal provides information to RC Administrators about authorizations and expenditures in a graphical (dashboard) format. Finally, in response to the recent Trailer Bill legislation, a consumer Annual Cost Statement is available on the SANDIS Administrator's Menu and a Prevention Program Plan (PPP) is in development. WHAT'S NEW WITH PROGRAM INSTALLATIONS:

The SANDIS IPP is now fully implemented at SDRC and other Regional Centers are in the planning stages. An "upload" program for IPPs created in MS Word was developed and is now available. SANDIS is currently working with two regional centers, Redwood Coast Regional Center and Inland Regional Center who are scheduled to begin using the SANDIS POS program. Kern Regional Center is the latest to have the POS Bridge Program installed. The POS Bridge allows new UFS authorizations to be created directly from approved SANDIS POS requests. Alta Regional Center is in the process of piloting the EFT Remittance Form Email Program. This program separates and sends remittance forms to vendors using the sender's email. (updated 3/2010)

SANDIS TURNS 25!

SANDIS provides the computer data information retrieval system used throughout the state of California at the 21 Regional Centers. This system allows for standardization of process and data reporting to the California Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS).

More than 20 years ago, San Diego-Imperial Counties Developmental Services Inc. (SDICDSI) developed SANDIS Solutions with the aid of two federal grants. Their mandate was to provide a computerized information system to assist in case management and services being provided to children with developmental disabilities.

(SDICDSI) is a California non-profit, publicly supported corporation and 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization.
