MEET THE SANDIS TEAM

Our team of highly skilled management and technology professionals are committed to providing the highest quality of software products, service, and support. We take great pride in the team that represents SANDIS. They have many years of experience working in the social services field and developing software solutions.

Alan Kaplan, Director:

Alan Kaplan, The Director of Information Systems for SDICDSI, has been with the Regional Center system most of his working career. Building on his experience as a Service Coordinator and Program Manager, Al has been instrumental in creating the SANDIS database and disseminating it to all the other Regional Centers throughout the state of California.

Nancy Lorch, Manager:

Nancy Lorch has over 30 years of experience with the Regional Center system, and has been involved with SANDIS for over 20 years. She was directly involved in installing SANDIS at all California Regional Centers, including training, system implementation and software development. She currently manages several contract programmers and coordinates development of new SANDIS applications.

Karen Barros, Manager:

Karen Barros has been with SANDIS for over 13 years and has worked with each of the 21 California Regional Centers in providing training, application implementation, and system support. She currently manages the Application Analysts and one outside contractor. She coordinates training, oversees documentation, and schedules implementation for the different SANDIS applications at different regional centers. Prior to joining the SANDIS team Karen had over 10 years IT experience doing similar duties.

Ana Aqui, Network Manager:

Ana has worked for SDRC for the past 13 years. She has worked as an Information Systems Specialist, Programmer/Analyst, Senior Network System Administrator and Manager of Technical Operations. Her main responsibility is developing, implementing and maintaining all the company servers, desktops and operating systems, computer systems security, application programs and databases. Ana also conducts technical research, troubleshoots problems, develops test strategies and supervises staff responsible for the Network, Helpdesk, IS Technicians and Operations Coordinator.

OUR APPLICATION ANALYSTS:

1. PAMELA BURGO - comes to SANDIS with over ten years of social work experience in case management, health and psychiatric services. With this background she is able to provide valuable staff trainings and support.


2. ELIZABETH KAPLAN - previously had 28 years of experience as a service coordinator and a habilitation specialist in Community Services. She is an outstanding enthusiastic trainer and customer support representative.


3. SHAY SUMMERS - Shay Summers – brings more than 15 years computer experience working with Motorola and several other large corporations. From computers she expanded her focus to social services and has worked in both Northern and Southern California.




4. ADRIANA RIVAS - is the newest member of our SANDIS team. She offers experience that she aquired working for SDRC for the last five years in a Case Management unit and the Medical Services unit.
